Set the collateral, pricing, and draw rules. Manage borrowing capacity and follow each loan through repayment.
Capacity and terms. Rates and valuations.
Borrowing rates.
Inspect utilization-based pricing and the approved interest rate model to understand how borrowing costs change as facility demand moves.
Collateral valuation.
Review the accepted collateral valuation and reporting freshness behind available capacity before requesting a draw under the facility’s limits.
Understand available capacity.
Review borrowing capacity against accepted collateral value and the facility’s configured limits.
Check the available funding.
Approved eligibility does not guarantee a draw. Available vault funding also constrains execution.
Primary responsibility for managing liquidity risks lies with financial institutions themselves, and this applies for both banks and NBFIs.
Manage the loan.
- Review collateral health. Compare debt exposure with collateral conditions and the applicable liquidation threshold.
- Review repayment. Track the obligation and review the applicable repayment action and amount.
- Release eligible collateral. Collateral release remains conditional on the resulting position and the facility’s policy.
- Inspect facility activity. Review loan exposure and borrower repayments alongside the relevant operating mandate.
