Cookie policy

Cookies, browser storage and privacy choices on the public TORQ website.
1. Scope.
This policy describes cookies and similar technologies on the public website operated by TORQ Labs Inc., incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. It should be read with our Privacy policy, available from the website footer.
It concerns the public website. A software application, customer-operated service or external website may use different technologies and must be considered with the notice presented for that service.
2. Cookies and similar technologies.
A cookie is a small piece of information that a website asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Session cookies generally last for a browsing session. Persistent cookies have an expiry time.
First-party cookies relate to the website you visit, while third-party cookies relate to another provider.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, tracking pixels and device identifiers. Their privacy implications depend on what they store or access and why they are used, rather than on the technology's name.
3. Current website use.
The public website operates without TORQ cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. It does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, preference cookies, tracking pixels or local or session storage for visitor tracking.
There are no such cookie names, providers or expiry periods to list for the current website.
Images, logos, fonts and videos are served as website resources rather than embedded third-party advertising or analytics services. Your browser may cache these files to load pages faster.
Ordinary resource caching is separate from creating a visitor profile.
Website delivery still involves technical requests, including an IP address and browser information. A website can process this information without setting a cookie. Our Privacy policy explains this processing.
4. Consent and future changes.
The current public website has no optional cookie categories to enable or disable.
If we introduce storage or access technologies, we will explain their purposes, providers and duration and assess the requirements of applicable law before use.
Technologies that require consent will remain off until you make an affirmative choice. Where consent is required, refusing will be as easy as accepting and withdrawal will be as easy as giving consent.
Browsing, scrolling or reading a privacy notice will not be treated as cookie consent.
An exemption from consent applies only when the technology meets the conditions of the relevant law. Where an exemption requires information or a way to object, those controls must be available.
We will not label analytics or advertising as essential merely because it is useful to TORQ.
5. Browser controls.
Your browser's privacy settings usually let you inspect and delete cookies and site data, block third-party cookies, limit storage and choose how long browsing data is kept. The available controls differ by browser and device.
Consult your browser's help for the relevant settings.
Clearing browser data can remove preferences or sign you out of other services.
Blocking cookies does not prevent the technical requests needed to load a website or delete an email you have already sent to us.
6. Links and external services.
When you follow a link to the TORQ application, documentation or a third-party website, the destination may set its own cookies or use other storage technologies. Its notice and controls apply there.
A choice made on one service does not automatically change the settings of another.
The website contact form opens your email application rather than storing an inquiry in a website account. Your email provider's privacy and storage settings govern that application.
7. Changes to this policy.
We will update this policy and its date when relevant technologies change. Any notice, consent or objection mechanism required for a new use will be provided before that use begins.
8. Contact.
